  Our site is currently hosted with Go Daddy, but we’re looking to change the design and go with WordPress as our content management system – starting from scratch in terms of content and IA, but keeping the same domain.

  Do we just map the domain within wordpress? Go Daddy told us we need to download their WordPress exe file, but that doesn’t make sense….

  Hello there,

  If you don’t want to keep any of the content (I see you said you want to start from scratch), and all you want is to keep your domain and have it hosted here on WordPress.com, rather than with GoDaddy, you can simply map your domain using these instructions: https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
