Site setup

I goofed. I registered a domain name with Bluehost (which I want to keep), but during the setup process, when I was directed to WordPress to start building it, I think I made the mistake of trying to set up a blog. What I want to be able to do is describe my travels and post pictures (with each post); I don’t think the current blog I set up in the temp. hosting domain is the right vehicle for me. How do I get rid of it and start from scratch with an appropriate site format?

It sounds like the site you created was with the self-hosted version of WordPress, WordPress.org, not WordPress.com (which this forum is devoted to). The difference between the two is discussed here. I’d reccomend reading more into it so you can decide which version is best for you.
If you decide you would like to stay with the self-hosted version of WordPress, post any questions you may have regarding getting your blog the way you want in their forum. If you decide you want to have your site through WordPress.com, and want to keep the domain you purchased through Bluehost, you can set up a WordPress.com site and then have the domain transferred here at WordPress.com.
