Site showing twice

    Hi there,

My site is showing twice under wordpress sites dashboard. It should be there only once. Every information seems to be the same for both, and they both work properly, pointing to the same wordpress dashboard. I don’t have any Domain registration. Could someone help me solve this issue? Thx a lot in advance!

  • Hi there! Thanks for reaching out, I can see why that would be confusing, and I’m happy to help clarify what’s going on.

What you’re seeing in your WordPress.com dashboard is most likely a duplicate site entry rather than two separate, fully independent sites. This usually happens when a site is accessed or created through different entry points (for example, via a direct editor link, Jetpack, or an older onboarding flow), even though both entries ultimately point to the same underlying site and wp-admin dashboard.

The good news is that this does not mean you have two domains, two plans, or duplicated content. Since you mentioned that you don’t have a registered domain and both entries behave identically, this strongly suggests a dashboard display duplication rather than a technical problem with the site itself.

Here’s what I recommend as next steps:

    • Log out of WordPress.com, then log back in and refresh the Sites dashboard to rule out a caching or session display issue.

    • Check whether both site entries show the exact same Site ID and admin access. If they do, that confirms it’s only a visual duplicate.
