  Hi! My ‘Shares Stats’ on the site stats page does not match the shares shown under the post (Shares Count)

  For example: this post http://netwovenblogs.com/2014/03/18/future-of-implementing-content-types-and-site-columns/ shows 31 shares on Linkedin but in Site stats i see it got 2 shares only. Please explain the discrepancy.

  Hi Niraj,

  Please note that the Site Stats shares and the one you see on your post will not match. In our site stats we don’t count shares from ‘official’ buttons, just the standard share links. These numbers may not match the Sharing buttons or stats provided by the Sharing Services themselves, because we can only count shares that happen on WordPress.com.

  So if the post is seen on LinkedIn and shared on LinkedIn that will update your Official Button but it will not show up in your Site Stats.
