  This error: ‘Can’t access this site data.’

  Followed by much no data.

  This is a site imported from wordpress .org. There WAS a bunch of historical data. Then looked at the “Hey have you tried our advanced page”. Whoops.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  So it sounds like you want the previous stats from thissler.com (when it was self-hosted) transfered onto your WordPress.com site http://thissler.wordpress.com/ (which is using domain mapping for thissler.com now.)

  Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I can do that stats transfer for you.

  Jetpack saved stats going back to November 2013 on the previous version. So long as your post IDs didn’t change, the stats transfer will combine the old site’s data with your new site’s.

  Thank you! and so far, so good. There still is that troublesome little error marker showing up though…

  The data is there. Will the marker just fade away, or is that magical thinking on my part? And it’s late and this isn’t an emergency so maybe tomorrow.

  I’m not seeing that error mark, but I’ve only viewed your stats since the transfer.

  Does clearing your cache now remove the error?

  If not, could you take a screenshot of where you see the error and upload the image to your media library for me to take a look?

  Thanks for the image! That warning symbol is related to your old self hosted site. Even though the site isn’t connected any more, a shadow of it remains on your dashboard.

  I can remove the Jetpack connection which will remove that page all together.

  Could you confirm you have access to all your stats on the dashboard page for http://thissler.wordpress.com/?

  Assuming they are all there, we can remove the old site from your account and you’ll be all set.

  Yes all the stats are accessible from that dashboard.

  Although I am now a bit sad to think that my old site is out wandering the interwebs in search of brains, I am also very happy with my new pretty site.
