Site stats count clicks on pics in gallery?

My site stats seemingly exploded last weekend. Then I realized that people looking at pics in a gallery were counted as page visits. Is this normal? I would like to see how many people looked at a post, not how many pics they looked at.

I will be interested to hear what the answer to this question is. It seems incorrect that a page view would be counted for each time we are forced to fall into the black hole (carousel) and click separate permalinks to see thumbnails at full size.

I don’t believe that no one cares. I believe that no one who may have an answer has viewed this thread and those who have viewed it has an answer so perhaps you would like to contact Staff and ask for one. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
