Site Stats counting my visits

Two days ago, I noticed that the WordPress Site Stats started counting my visits to the blog. I can tell because new views precisely match what I click on on my blog. I’ve also noticed that WordPress seems to log me out when I view my blog. It used to the case that I could click on the “Edit” function at the bottom of each post, but that has now disappeared, even when I’m sure to log back into WordPress. Any ideas on why these things are happening suddenly and whether they’re related?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi,

I’m having the same issue with one of my blogs. I’ll be glad to hear from you if Support gives you an answer… or should I file a support ticket myself?

    Thanks!

This is a tough one to track down. The issue is probably somewhere in the part where you’re getting logged out automatically. You do need to have cookies enabled for the login to work. Do you have cookies enabled? Do you also have third party cookies enabled? Is there any other software like anti-virus or firewall or browser add-ons installed on your computer which could be interfering with your ability to log in or stay logged in?

Cookies are enabled. I do have a firewall and add-ons on my PC, but they were installed way before the problem emerged. Same for the Mac (but no firewall).

If you have a domain mapped to your blog and you’re using Firefox, please make sure that you have both first and third-party cookies enabled.

There seems to be an odd glitch in Firefox that refuses to correlate the WordPress.com cookie with your mapped domain.
