site stats , I have hits that are not registering. At a minimum, the users leaving comments are going undetected by site stats. While other visitors are being detected. It is really hit or miss on detecting when, where visitors are coming from or if they are really there.

From what I can see, your site stats are displaying correctly. Can you let me know a specific date where you expected to see more visits?
You may want to double-check that your site is set to the correct timezone via your Dashboard -> Settings -> General page. Sometimes this can cause stats to be registered to a different day.

Today is a working example. Five hits are displayed, one from me and one from this forum. Yet there are 29 new comments dated today from different users.
Timezone settings were and are correct.

I checked the latest 5 comments listed in your sidebar:

The other possibility for stats not measuring some of the time could be a plugin or theme code conflict. It doesn’t seem likely to be the theme in your case because you’re using the Twenty Ten theme, but it’s possible that there is a plugin conflict. What plugins do you have installed on your site right now?

Defiantly some spam, I have spammed everything from the reoccurring email address “(email visible only to moderators and staff)”. I still find it odd that whoever is posting is not registering as traffic on the site. I have had an high number of posts (deleted via spam) from that reoccurring email address with different names and websites linked.
I am activating Akismet in hope of deterring future spammers.
Current plugins are:
Browser Specific CSS
cforms
fbLikeButton
Jetpack by WordPress.com
Quick Cache
WordPress Social Ring -
You may want to double-check your other comments to make sure that they aren’t spam either. A common trend these days is to leave a very vague positive comment that links to a more spammy site.
Spam comments are left by bots, and therefore not tracked by stats.

I may just clear out the comments.
New issue, nothing is registering in site stats. Could Akismet be causing that? I know I pulled it up from separate computers earlier today that should of registered 2 known hits. Yet 0 appears.

If you’re logged in, it won’t register your visits. Also, the reporting can sometimes be slightly delayed, usually never more than an hour.
