Site stats not accurate

  Hi :)

  I was just wondering if anything can be done to improve the accuracy of the site stats? I just started a new blog yesterday (already having experience with other wordpress blogs), and checked out my stats.

  It says I had one viewer who viewed three items. And yet, in the country log, is shows three separate countries. Would this not mean I had THREE unique viewers?

  Could this be looked into at all, or am I just being too picky?

  Our stats are not real time stats and take hours to update.

  Fair enough. But wouldn’t it have finished updating in the 7.5 hours since yesterday finished?

  Hi mishkarae, I took a look at the stats for your site http://mishkasparlour.wordpress.com/ and I see what you mean. I’m checking with our team now to find out what might cause the discrepancy between the number of visitors and the view by country. I’ll let you know what I find out!

  @mishkarae – I got more information about this from our team, and it looks like this was a one-time discrepancy in your stats.

  Whenever you make a change to your blog’s timezone, there can be a discrepancy in the views & visits in your site stats for that date. Since you changed your blog’s timezone on September 4, the visitors and views by country don’t match up exactly. However, this shouldn’t be a problem for your stats on any other date.
