Site Stats: Views acting strangely

  Hello, I made a new post on my blog, and two days later the views counter on my stats page began to act strangely. For the first two days after I posted, I had a normal amount of views, however since yesterday (now into today), the views counter shows that I have a visitor arriving pretty much every few minutes, from multiple countries from which I’ve never received visitors before.
  While I would love this to be a case of a post going viral (!), I highly doubt this is the case and I’m not sure whether perhaps there is some worm or malware affecting the blog or another site which has linked to my page. Is there any way to check on this?

  Hi there!

  I’m pretty sure that’s not a worn or malware case, the access of your site could be from anywhere, so you can’t find why somebody in Brazil for example, access your site.
  I think the new visitors are great, independently where they come from. :-)

  That’s true, though the reason I am asking is because since yesterday the amount of views I received was 20x more than what I received in the first two days. Such an increase is strange, which is why I was worried. So it’s not the country of origin as much as the suspicious number of new visitors, almost all of whome primarily have visited that one page.
