Site stats views not recorded

  I would appreciate it if someone could take a look behind the scenes so I may understand why views are not being recorded.

  My stats show only one view since 22 March. I know there have been visitors since that time as unique affiliate links have been clicked through on posts published since then and I can see these click throughs at the other end.

  FYI a comparison of stats for the past 3 months shows:
  Jan: WP views 319, affiliate site view count 200
  Feb: WP views 251, affiliate site view count 163
  March to date: WP views 177, affiliate site view count 217.
  Jan and Feb make sense – not everyone who views a post will click the link and previous months show a similar ratio of WP to affiliate view counts. March however is showing what I think is a physical impossibility – 40 people clicking links without viewing the post the link is in. I’m also thinking it is likely the missing view count is much higher if I assume the proportion of views to click throughs is similar to all other months.

  As a sidenote my stats have only ever shown 3 or 4 clicks (on outbound links) in total when the actual total in my affiliate account is almost 1800. I figured that was a glitch and was not concerned as I get that information at the other end. Understanding total views on WP though is important to me.
