site still counts my visits
-
I tried to get this resolved years ago, but I was told there wasn’t a problem. However, my movements around my site (which is public) are still counted in the stats. Yes, when I’m logged in.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
I’ll tag this thread for Staff to examine your stats. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting. -
I took a look and everything is working properly.
The following are not reflected in your stats:
* Visits to uploaded documents and files
* Visits from browsers that do not execute javascript or load images
* GoogleBot and other search engine spiders
* Visits you make to your own publicly available blog (when logged in to your account)
* Visits by users that are logged in, and listed as admins on the blogYou can read all about Site Stats at http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats

“Visits you make to your own publicly available blog (when logged in to your account)”
This is simply not true. But I guess I will never convince you.

However, my movements around my site (which is public) are still counted in the stats
Could you please point out where you exactly see your own visits listed in the Site Stats?
Thank you!

As an experiment, I logged in, checked the number for WordPress Dashboard under “Referrers” (it was 1), logged out, and then did it again 3 more times. Each time I logged back in and looked at “Referrers,” there was 1 more WordPress Dashboard referral showing, and my total for the day had also increased by the same number. I had started out with 1 WP Dashboard referral but now have 4, and my total for the day so far has changed from 2 to 5. If I am doing something wrong, please tell me! Thank you.

Visits you make to your own publicly available blog (when logged in to your account) are not counted. But since you were logged out when visiting your blog, it counts you as a visitor.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

I still think it’s disingenuous to say that your “visits” to your blog are not counted, because logging in registers as a visit. Wouldn’t it be helpful to say this explicitly? Or maybe I’m the only one who didn’t understand this?
Anyway, thanks for your time and attention.
