Site Suspended without Cause

    I received an email from (email visible only to moderators and staff) saying that my website was suspended since ‘WordPress.com does not permit the sale of marijuana, hemp, or cannabis-derived products.’ This was done in error, and I need my website reinstated as soon as possible.

    I checked the links that they sent, and my business does not violate any of the policies your company has. In fact, your policies expressly allow it, as stated on the Store Guidelines link that you included in your email. Your Terms of Service says ‘If you’re using Ecommerce Services to sell CBD and other hemp-derived products using Woo, you must follow the Woo Guidelines for CBD and Other Hemp-Derived Products.’ My business follows those guidelines.

    At ‘https://woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-cbd/’, it states ‘If you’d like to sell CBD and/or hemp products while we host your WooCommerce store at WordPress.com or on Pressable, we require you to use one of our two specified payment gateway solutions: Square or Viva Wallet.’ I am using Square as my payment processor, and I am part of Square’s CBD Program, which reviews and approves stores selling CBD and hemp-derived products according to applicable U.S. laws and regulations (https://squareup.com/us/en/solutions/cbd).

    My business violates no federal regulation nor any law from the state of Wisconsin, where my business operates and will make all of its sales/deliveries. My products contain Delta-8 THC, which is legal under section 10113 of the 2018 Farm Bill. The Delta-8 THC is completely derived from hemp and does not contain more than 0.3% percent Delta-8 THC, in accordance with federal law.
