Site Template

    Hello,

I talked to support the other week discussing how to downgrade our plan to the free plan. Below is what they said

‘By downgrading your plan, your website’s design will change to a theme supported on the free plan. However, your website content will not be removed, so your template will remain intact for when you are ready to go live again.’

It looks like we are on the free plan. Can you please confirm?

Also, before downgrading, we build our site with Elementor. As stated above, they mentioned we wouldn’t lose our template and it will remain intact for when we are ready to go live again. However, I don’t see the ‘elementor’ tab in our dashboard. Can you please advise?

    Best,

  • Hi,

When a plan is downgraded, you lose access to the use of plugins and third-party themes for the site.

If you were using a free theme, your theme stays the same when going back to the free plan, but if you were using a premium or third-party theme, this theme would be changed to a free one, which implies changes on your template and site.

As Elementor is a plugin, it gets deactivated in the free plan, so it is removed from the dashboard, and any content created with its builder won’t be available.

If you’d like to reactivate Elementor or to have access to the content created with it, you’d need to repurchase the Creator plan and then restore a backup of your site.
