Site Title being placed as an H1 tag on all pages.

I have noticed using Screaming Frog and Beamusup SEO tools, that all my pages and posts, have at least two H1 tags. The first is always my “site name” and the second is the Page or post Title, the latter being what I would have expected but on it’s own.

I can’t see any reason why this should be. Checking the code, it is not there so it must be being added ‘somehow’. I am using WordPress 6.9.4, the Resort theme and RankMath SEO.

Any thoughts on how to fix this would be appreciated. I’m thinking that the fact that all my pages have the same H1 tag, might be why many of my pages are not being indexed.

    Many thanks, Graham.

    Hi there,

Did you refer to 9timberhill.co.uk as the website where you’re experiencing the issue? If so, it looks like you’re using self-hosted WordPress, not WordPress.com.

Therefore, it’s recommended to open a support ticket at the following URL for WordPress.org support.
