Site Transfer

I currently have a live website using a single html file that references css, js and images files. My domain has been purchased through godaddy.com. Would I be able to use WordPress to manage my website? If I transfer my domain to WordPress.com, will that change my URL?

Hi,
If I understand it correctly, your website is currently not running on the WordPress.org site engine, but it’s rather a custom-coded website, is that correct?
If that’s the case, then unfortunately you will not be able to fully transfer it over to the WordPress.com platform; however, you can try to manually redesign the website by the tools given at WordPress.com – it will not be too hard. You can learn more about working with the WordPress.com Site Editor here: https://wordpress.com/support/site-editor/ – and generally about getting started with WordPress.com here: https://wordpress.com/support/video-tutorials/videos-get-started/#getting-started-on-word-press-com
You can also use your GoDaddy.com-purchased domain name by either fully transferring it over (if it has been registered more than 60 days ago) or connecting it to WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/domain-connection-vs-domain-transfer/
