Site transferred yet still in the death vice of WordPress.
-
Deleted site and transferred domain. WordPress isn’t letting me access admin page. I keep getting a message that says it’s no longer available, authors have deleted this site.
This shouldn’t be an issue as the site is no longer hosted at wordpress.com.
I put this in, to get to admin stuff, elderlyvampireschoolgirl.com/wp-admin, however, I get the above issue. How can you resolve this? -
Hi
When I go to elderlyvampireschoolgirl.com, I see your new site fine. When you updated the DNS settings on the domain, those changes normally take up to 72 hours to fully propagate across the whole internet. This can lead to the situation where you can’t see your new site, but someone else (me) can!
The easiest fix is to wait another day or so for everything to update, but there is a way you can force an update for your computer right now.
Domain names get stored on your computer in a “DNS cache” so browsers can load websites faster. You can force this cache to update sooner by “flushing” your computer’s DNS cache.
You can find instructions on how to flush your DNS cache here: http://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html
That should enable you to see the correct site at elderlyvampireschoolgirl.com.
