site under construction – not publishing

    Hello – I’m starting a new site. I have the theme and a few pages created. Have ‘published’ them. However when I visit my site it is ‘Still under construction’. I cannot preview the work I have done.

    Hi there,

    That site is not hosted by WordPress.COM. Our support docs do not apply to it and you are posting to the wrong support forum.

    WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG and need support for that site in the future and if you do not have a WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

    Hi Guys, I haven’t done anything with my site in ages and want to place a holding page on it. I see that I cannot have plugins so could you tell me how to place a holding page / under construction notice on the site. Appreciate the help. And yes, I am a novice at wordpress.
