Site username
-
Hello,
I switched my domain and email from Google to WordPress and Titan today. I would like to change my site username from louissupercom to louissuper. The thing is I believe I created a WordPress account a while back using louissuper as the username. I’d like to delete the old account so that I can use my username here, instead. Can you help?
Best,
LouisWP.com: Yes
Jetpack: No
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We do not recycle usernames as a matter of policy on WordPress.com, so closing the other account will not “free up” the name for use on this one instead.
In this case what you will need to do is log in to your other account so that you have direct access. Once you have access to both accounts you can return to this one (@louissuper81) and invite your other account as an “Administrator” by following the steps here:
This guide will explain how you can invite others to work on your website and grant different levels of permission depending on what you want the person to be able to do. Add Users to Your Site Instead of giving someone your username and password (which would be a security risk), you can invite them to create their own user account on your site, becoming part of your “Team.” To view yOnce you have invited your other account (and logged in to the other account to accept) it will then be possible to transfer ownership of the site and upgrades from this account to that one. Once everything is moved over, you can close this account permanently and continue to managed everything under the preferred account.
If you do not recall how to log in to your other account, you can send yourself a login link by entering your username or email (for the
louissupernot this one) in the form here:https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any more questions.
