  How to verify site by Google webmaster tool ?

  still no verification held on.

  Make sure that when you get the meta tag from Google you don’t close that page.

  Open WordPress.com in a separate browser tab, and go to My Site ->Settings ->SEO. Paste the tag there.

  Then go back to the open Google tab and click the verify button. Wait a minute or two after saving the tag before trying to verify it with Google.
