Site Visibility – Is a private blog indexed by search engines?

  Hi,

  If I change Site Visibility setting to Private, is the blog indexed by search engines, or does it also Discourage search engines from indexing this site?

  What I want is to turn my blog private AND discourage search engines from indexing it.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  I know my question is kind of stupid, but I want to make sure both conditions (private and not indexed by search engines) apply

  The site is Public at present and not Private http://papajers.wordpress.com/
  To change blog visibility to Private go to Dashboard > Settings > Reading scroll to Site Visibility and choose option 3
  Then you will get what you want ie. robot text will block search engine access.
