Site visitor upload app

I am considering expanding my site and presenting a greater amount of material on it. I am wondering if there is an app or widget that would allow visitors to my site to upload content with a form? Any uploaded content would, of course, need to be reviewed before it posted to the page. Does anything like this exist?

Uploading files isn’t allowed as it poses a pretty substantial security threat and as all WordPress.com sites run on the same software it could cause problems for every user!
If you have a limited number of people you want to be able to upload things to your site then you could get them to sign up for a WordPress.com account (not neccesarily their own blog though) although you’d also end up allowing them to make posts, which is not ideal – see the user roles which are available.
An alternate approach would be to create a shared space on a file sharing service like Dropbox, Google Drive or SpiderOak.
