Site visits from other countries

  I have been reviewing my site’s stats, and noticing that every day, many, if not most of my visitors are from countries other than the U.S. I am wondering why this is, since I have no advertising or ties to countries like Brazil, Switzerland, Colombia, etc..

  This is not a problem at all, but it doesn’t make sense to me, and I thought the WordPress support staff might have some knowledge about this.

  Hi Devin,

  That’s quite interesting! Normally I would say not to worry about it, but this just made me notice that I too am getting some strange traffic out of Brazil. It still may be nothing at all, but I have put this in front of some of our developers to see what is going on with it.

  As soon as I have some additional information, I will let you know!

  I spoke with our developers who work directly with the statistics and they think it is most likely that the burgeoning internet presence in Brazil (population 200 million) amongst others is responsible for your visits. Sorry for any inconvenience!
