Site was hacked

It appears our WordPress site has been hacked. What once was our website for water vapour fireplaces is now some prize give away pop up. When I use my admin login in link to get access to the site, it only shows a bunch of script.

Our domain is through godaddy and there doesn’t seem to be issues there, other than it shows our site does not exist. I can not log into the admin side to get our site back. I can only get on live chat if I am signed in as admin.

I have a complete back up of our site, but can not access it.

There is no way for me to contract wordpress support.

  • Hi there! You’ve landed on the support forums for websites that are hosted here on WordPress.com; it looks like your site vapourproductscanada.com uses the free WordPress software from WordPress.org, and is hosted with another platform if I understand correctly? If so, were you intending to post to the WordPress.org forums at this link just below?
    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

If both your site and your domain are hosted through GoDaddy then it might also be worth contacting their customer service with regards to this.

From here I’m unfortunately unable to check whether it’s been hacked or is suffering from malware, as your site isn’t hosted on our system at WordPress.com. However if you would want us to have that sort of access, to provide daily backups, and our 24/7 support service (among other things), you could of course migrate over from your current host and use our Business plan! We have information about all that it offers here:
    https://wordpress.com/hosting/

You even have access to manage the site database on WordPress.com, while we handle the software maintenance – so if you do need to restore a backup of a database file, that can also be done:
    https://wordpress.com/support/phpmyadmin-and-mysql/

Of course, if you’d prefer not to migrate, our sibling plugin Jetpack provides downtime monitoring for free, and you can also purchase the Jetpack backup services too as part of the Jetpack Security package:
    https://jetpack.com/features/security/

Let us know if you have any questions!

Thank you for your reply. It does appear to me Malware and godaddy is apparently removing it.

However, how difficult is it to migrate over? I have back up files of our website, and would prefer not to start from scratch as we had paid to have it done.

    Thank you again
