I have just purchased an upgrade and made changes to the domain name without really understanding the process. Now my site wont appear.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Happy to help here. Just to clarify, do you own the domain name davidson.com? The domain scott.s.davidson.com is a subdomain of davidson.com. You would need to own davidson.com to use scott.s.davidson.com with your site. Let me know if you own davidson.com, and we can go from there!

No problem! I went ahead and removed the domain mapping upgrade from your account. It looks like the domain davidson.com is already registered according to the public domain record:

You could attempt to make an offer on that domain if it’s for sale, but that would need to be through a third-party company, not WordPress.com. Alternatively, we could use a different domain. How about scottsdavidson.com?
