Site won’t go public

My site isn’t visible to the public. If you search for it, it just diplays ‘Oop! …’ Thank you!

The “oops” page means your site IS visible to the public. It also means that you either haven’t published the page you want visitors to see first or you haven’t set the correct front page (most people choose the blog page) at Customize/Homepage settings.

Thank you for your response. I tried to set the homepage public, and from what I’ve seen I did, but it’s still not working. I made the blog page private and that still didnt’ help. I can’t find the correct page to edit that people choose the correct front page. Could you please specify?

Have you actually created any pages (and published them) as you do need some content to display words/images. Your blog page just appears to contain sample content.

I have created a homepage with pictures and content and a very small blog post as a test. Geez…this is making me feel stupid! I feel like I’m missing a very obvious piece to this puzzle.
When I go to my word press site (when I am logged in) it looks like it is public and looking good…but when I search it in incognito mode is doesn’t show up.
When I look at “edit page” under homepage it is exactly how I want and it’s set as public.

Hi there!
I checked the homepage in the editor and I’m seeing it has a “Private” visibility status. Here’s a screenshot from the homepage editor: https://d.pr/i/UY8h3S
Please change that to Public and click Update to change the page visibility status. The homepage can’t be viewed by the public because the actual homepage is still private.
