Site won’t launch

Hello,
I was able to verify my email and wanted to launch the site teexquisite.wordpress.com but i’m being redirected to a new site design creation with different url.
My question is thus, do I need to wait for a certain amount of time before i’m able to launch the site because i’m not getting further information on this issue. -

No, you don’t have to wait before launching your site. Please note, when you first create your site, by default the site will be Private. In order to launch your site, you will need to verify your email address.
Additionally, while launching a site, it gives you an option of selecting a paid domain but you can choose the last option which says skip the purchase and you continue with your free domain, and your site will be launched.
You can launch your site from My Sites > Manage > Settings > General > Launch Site.

@teexquisite, what is your process when trying to launch the site?
You should not have any issues while doing that, you may need to choose a plan and domain again, however, if you do not wish to upgrade you can keep the free one and the existing subdomain. If you’re not typing in a new domain name, I can’t think of another reason why you would see a site with a different URL.If you can send us screenshots of what you’re doing it would be really helpful. You can use an online tool for that (such as https://snipboard.io/), or follow the instructions described here:
