Site Won’t Update

  No changes I make to my site update at all. I’ve tried clearing the cache and my browser cache with no success. What else can I do?

  I also get periodic error messages when trying to make changes ‘Error 429 too many requests’ when I am already logged in and ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.’ So I am essentially unable to use my site at all.

message is more common with self-hosted WordPress sites.

In general, the most common causes are plugins, themes, or web hosting (settings). Typically, you can troubleshoot in that order too.

Free WordPress.com sites like https://jessicaeperry.wordpress.com/ do not have plugins. If that is the site with the problem, your next step might be switching back to the default TwentyNineteen theme to find out if that eliminates the error.
