Site won’t update, and new pages aren’t displayed.

My site will not update. I’ve added 7 more pages which dont show up, and only the old versions of fewer pages show up. I was able to customize the menu and they whowed up for ONE day, then its back to the old non-updated page every time I open the site. My editor has all of these pages listed as published, but theyre not.

    Hi,

The fact that links to your new pages aren’t displayed in the navigation menu doesn’t mean that the pages aren’t published, so I’d trust that those pages are published if they are identified as such at Pages.

I was very surprised to find that on a test site with the Geologist – Cream theme activated a custom menu displayed even when that menu wasn’t directed to display at Customize → Menus → Menu Locations. However, I would check the appropriate box there (see image below) to make sure it continues to display.

Normally new pages aren’t automatically added to a custom menu. However, you can tell the theme to add them by checking the box labeled “Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu,” at Customize → Menus → Menu Options.

I forgot to mention that if the box labeled “Automatically add new top-level pages to this menu,” at Customize → Menus → Menu Options wasn’t checked when you added the 7 new pages that you mention, then you’ll probably need to add links to those pages to the menu manually. Three different ways off adding links to a menu are described in the Add Links to a Menu support page.

I’d also suggest that you consider creating drop-down menus in your primary navigation menu to 1.) condense the menu (saving space), and 2.) to make it easier to read and navigate (i.e. more user friendly).
