Sitemap Is Using HTTPS
-
The Pages in my sitemap.xml are using https: instead of http:. What is the reason for that? For efficiency alone I probably don’t want Google to point to encrypted pages.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We use HTTPS to make it less vulnerable to hijacking. It won’t harm any efficiency of your blog. Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Hi Kardotim. When I view the sitemap.xml today, all of the pages are HTTP not HTTPS. Why did it change overnight?

I see what you mean now. I’m not exactly sure where you say https in your sitemap, but I can’t seem to find it. The pages in your blog are always pointed to http:// . Feel free to make a screenshot next time you see it again.
However, it is possible to enabled HTTPS on the administration pages of your blog. You can follow the steps in this guide on how to set this:

Kardotim, when I posted my original question posted on 12/7 my sitemap.xml contained my one Post as an HTTPS.
After you replied, something changed my sitemap.xml and now it is HTTP.
Of course I want HTTPS on administration pages. I had already enabled that. I am referring to just the URLs for Posts in sitemap.xml.
At this point I am just confused. I don’t understand why it was listed as HTTPS and now I don’t understand what/how it converted back to HTTP. Next time I see it I can copy and paste the text in the sitemap file, but I’m not sure it will meaningfully change the question.

Yes, please do. This way a developer can take a closer look at it. Thank you.
