Sitemap seems to offer trashed and private pages

Does the WordPress.com sitemap.xml contain private and trashed pages. I’m seeing both in my Google Search Console as 404 errors.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi 19scout79,
I would expect private pages to be listed in the sitemap but not trashed pages. This suggests Google may not have re-indexed your sitemap since the pages were trashed — which could cause the pages to still be listed there.
What are the names of the trashed pages you are seeing in the .xml file? You can send that information to us by starting a chat (direct support is included in your plan) :)

Here is the link that Google Search Console is noting as 404. Note the “_trashed” has been added to the URL. Weird.

Here is the sitemap. Note that I can’t find the URL in the sitemap.

Thanks @19scout79, can you check first to see when the last crawl date was?
If it was after you trashed those pages, could you get a screenshot of the error in the console and put it in media? I’m hoping it’ll contain a bit more context. Let us know too exactly where you’re seeing the error in the console.
And then, for the fastest help, we do recommend using chat. But you’re welcome to get back with us here, too.
