Sitemeter

I have installed sitemeter to my blog. But why it is showing “Unknown” for Referring URLs of recent visitors under by Referrals catagory?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
I assume you’re referring to the blog attached to your name, can you tell us which site meter you are referring to?
Anyway, if I were to take a stab at it, I could guess that this is either coming from viewers disabling javascript, or possibly coming from a URL that masks itself wen people come to it’s webpage.

Mind you, that’s just a guess, without knowing exactly what site meter package your referring to, and testing it out myself, I cannot know for certain.

@cutekerry
I have used Sitemeter on my blogs since 2006. Sitemeter is working correctly. We cannot use the javascript version therefore we the referring URL’s are unknown to us. This is the same with any stats program we use as wordpress.com software strips javascript to preserve security. Please read this so you aren’t surprised by the restrictions we have on this mutiuser blogging platform. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/ -

Here at WP.com you have to use the HTML version code which doesn’t show you referring links.over @ Sitemeter

To save me from having to do a lot of typing please read Sitemeter information I have listed in the comments on the getclinky post. Scroll down to the comments and you will see what data I get from sitemeter on my wordpress.com blog (no javascript), and what I get from sitemeter on my wordpress.org blog (with javascript)
