Site's RSS Feed not including MP3 enclosure URL for podcast

  I have an issue with our latest post, which isn’t working properly when it comes to our RSS feed for our podcast.

  I’ve used the exact same method for years for our show via WordPress and have never had any issues, and haven’t changed anything behind the scenes on the site, but for some reason our latest episode just isn’t working.

  Normally I just include a link to our latest episode as a URL for the file as an MP3, and the RSS feed usually picks it up straight away, and detects it for an ‘enclosure URL’, which delivers that to various podcast providers such as Apple.

  I haven’t used a different category or style of post, it’s all exactly the same. The RSS feed can see the post correctly, but it just isn’t pulling through the file. I even deleted that post and tried again but it’s still not there.

  Has WordPress changed something in the last month that may have affected the way RSS feeds pick up MP3 files in posts?

  Can you tell me if this is happening with all podcaster providers currently in use?

  If yes, are you able to share the specific RSS error message that’s being provided by them please?
