Sitewide messages

  Hi hi,

  I am going on vacation and i would like to set up a sitewide message so everybody knows I am not around and can’t answer questions.
  Anyone know how to do this only thing google told me is about a plug in but that is not possible anymore.

  Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality. You are confusing WordPress.ORG and WordPress.COM. For that type of functionality you’d need a self-hosted site running on a paid web hosting service.

  There is no site wide messaging ability. You can publish an I’m on vacation post but know your blog will be mercilessly spammed when you do so. That is why I don’t do that and it’s also why I do not ever set my email up to auto post such messages either.

  Thank you for making this obvious… I am well aware of the difference between org and com, but the post did clearly state .com. Never the less it could be a scam. Thank you for your answer. I guess ill just make a post since its not a few days its a month.

  Okay. That means you know that blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and never has existed here, and now you know that there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality. Best wishes.
