Size of advertising on wordpress.com

  Hi

  Wonder if anyone can help- is there a way of making the adverts on my blog smaller in size?

  WordPress.com has been running advertising on our free hosted blogs since 2006. Many bloggers do not know this because despite the fact they ticked the box required to get a free blog, they did not read the ToS. Many also do not read features page, or advertising entry in the support documents after registering their username and blog(s). Also note that as the ads do not display to us when we are logged in, and as many use browsers with ad blockers when logged out, they may not realize they are there at all. You cannot change the size of those ads. The only way to get rid of all advertising on our free hosted WordPress.com blogs is to purchase an annually renewable No-Ads upgrade.

  There is only one advertising program called WordAds at WordPress.com and it’s for blogs on their own domains. This is the homepage for the WordAds program: http://www.wordads.co/

  The ads put on your blog by WordPress.com are not configurable by you, the blogger.

  I am sorry but I dont understand… I have read all the above links before asking for advise.
  When a i joined wordpress.com, i added Wordads to my blog.. since then I have seen ads on my blog… which is fine! I remember when adding Wordads we were able to tick a few boxes… which i can only assume refered to the size of the adverts allowed on the blog. So I assume I am able to some how go back to that page and change the size of the adverts to something smaller. Problem is I cant find the page where that information is on.

  I also have wordads on my site, vegontherun.com, and the video ads are overlapping the text. I love my theme, so I don’t really want to change it, but I don’t see how I can live with wordads and my theme. One or the other has to go if I can’t change the size of the video ads.

  ashleyjmorgan – we have been working on this problem. It’s not a simple one as some themes were not designed with ads in mind I don’t not currently see it, do you?

  Thanks for your answer. I’m still having the issue, if you scroll on my homepage you’ll see the videos that overlap.

  Do you know if the Under the Influence theme is one that is currently having issues?
