size of header

I have resized a JPEG file for my header to your suggested 940×198 size but it is still too large and gets cut off. Please advise.

Can you let me know specifically what is getting cutoff on your side?

Hello Jeremy.
The one that is currently on the site was not my first preference, although I’m ok with it. I wanted to use the attached file, but no matter how much I shrunk the file’s size it always cut it off about two thirds of the way.
If you have any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Image attachments won’t work in the forums. So, I’m unable to see what image you’re referring to. Could you upload the image to your Media Library and then just pass along the URL of the image? The URL will look something like this:
https://whatisphilanthropy.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php?item=966
