Size of Header & Background Color

    I choose DFKai-SB (font of Chinese word) and added in CSS. I can’t find this font from my font list. How can I find this font and change the word in this font?

    I’m so sorry but the font you mentioned is not available to use here at WordPress.com. Currently, we are using a selected list of fonts from Typekit in the Custom Design upgrade, and there are not any fonts available there specifically with Chinese language support. The best option for fonts for you right now will be to use a font stack with a selection of commonly installed fonts.

    I’m sorry we don’t have Chinese font support available for you right now, and we hope to add that some time in the future.

    Can I change the background-color from Green to another color when I hover over menu items in the main navigation as the above link? If I can,how to do that?

    You may not remove the footer credits. WordPress.com required the footer credits to stay visible and clickable. You may, however, adjust the look of the footer to blend in a bit better with your other customizations. Here is an example you can try:

    .footer .footer-content {
	font-size: 80%;
	color: #ddd;
}

.footer .footer-content a {
	color: #bbb;
}

    peggy1225hkhk, we are here to help you learn how to add CSS, but we cannot always provide all the code for all the changes you are asking for when it becomes time consuming because we are only here to provide support for the tools and to help people with their CSS a little bit when they get stuck. What I would like to do is help you learn some things so you can work with our CSS tools on your own. Does that sound okay to you?

    Oh, No. It’s absolutely not okay for me. Actually, your support is very helpful for me to solve the problems. Moreover, English is not my native language. It’s very difficult for me to read the guideline. Furthermore, support should be provided after I upgraded the custom design. I really appreciated the support duirng the trial of custom design. If there’s no support for the period after buying custom design, I may consider not to purchase it. So, please answer my questions. Thank you.

    It’s great to hear our support has been helpful for you. We can continue to help you! But I also wanted to make sure it was clear that Custom Design support does not include extensive design consultation. If this is not okay, you should consider hiring a designer instead. That said, I am absolutely willing to help you here when you get stuck. And I will also try to help teach you how some of the CSS works along the way—I can do that without just linking out to documentation if that’s what you’re worried about. I wanted to let you know I would be doing that in future replies and it’s to try to help you.

    Here is an example:

    1. How to adjust the height of footer?

    You have already adjusted the height of your footer in your custom CSS. Here is the relevant section from what you have already added:

    .header {
    background-color: #ffffff;
    min-height: 180px;
    padding-bottom: 5px;
    padding-top: 90px;
}

    To modify the height, adjust the min-height and padding values.

    2.How to change the background-color of the arrow from green to purple on the lower right corner of the website?

    Here is a video showing how to find what selectors the theme is using for the button. This is a really good way to find selectors because it will cover the button as well as some other elements you probably want to change but haven’t spotted yet.

    Hopefully we can find a good balance! You may also find that you get most of your customizations in during the trial and at the end you will have a good set of customizations that you want to keep.
