sizing pictures in Media file to fit the block
-
I have entered the names of contributors to our exhibition at the bottom of each photo in the media file. Some are not appearing when put on the blog or they are cut off. How to fix? Can I add names to the bottom of files through WordPress?
The site I need help with is [visible only to staff] (email visible only to moderators and staff).

I’m not seeing this — can you let us know which page you’re working on? Is it published yet?
And you should be able to add captions to images, or if you need to add more text, the Media & Text block may be best for your purposes.

Ikebana International Chapter 22. I am trying to post images that are in the Media File. The last 17 images. The post is saved as a draft. Message states Block has encountered an error and cannot be previewed. I also had other problems. I would like to have 2 columns side by side on each row with the makers name underneath the image.

Are you speaking of the post titled 2021 June Online Exhibit? That’s the only draft post I see on your site.
The simplest way to show the images in two columns as you describe is by using a gallery block, but image captions don’t show on galleries, so if you’re adding the names as captions that won’t work.
Your other option is to use a Columns block to add two columns, and then add the images to the columns, and adding the names as image captions. You’ll need to use multiple image blocks in each column, one for each image.
