Sizing vertical images to match horizontal in Journalist 1.3

    Hi,

I’d appreciate your help. I’m a total beginner, just a few days into my first attempt at blogging and so far am happy with Journalist 1.3.
I want the largest possible images so I am using the largest size offered for my horizontal images.
If I size the vertical images the same size they are much larger than the horizontal ones… evidently sizing is based just on width, not length.
You can see this very clearly on my blog.

So how do I get horizontal and vertical to match size-wise?

Go to Settings>Media, set desired maximum width and height numbers for the “Large” option (in the theme you’re using, width should be no more than 720), click Save Changes; then select Large instead of Full Size when inserting images.

Alternative: make copies of your images, downsize them to desired size using an image editing application or an online tool, and upload those copies “Full Size”. This way you save storage space, and you get better quality too – see here:
