Skeptical: add search box?

  In the past I’ve wanted to remove this from a theme: in typical old codger fashion, I now want to add it. :-|
  As there isn’t provision for doing so in the widgets, I feel there may be CSS coding to enable a search box …
  Or am I just bonkers?
