Sketch theme

  Hi there,

  I like to download Sketch theme by Caroline Moore, a free portfolio theme launched in last August.

  However, I am not sure whether I downloaded the same theme as in my dashboard I don’t get portfolio features as instructed by the theme guideline.

  I am a bit confused whether there are 2 Sketch Theme or only one Sketch theme.

  This version seems to be by automatic version 1.1 (as the preview looks like it) although I have followed a download link from the theme created by Caroline to download in my wordpress self-hosted website. So I downloaded by upload the zip file from the dashboard.

  How can I get the Sketch theme from Caroline to be downloaded on my wordpress self-hosted website or get a portfolio feature on my dashboard?

  Hi there. There are two versions of the same theme – one for WordPress.com and one for WordPress.org.

  If you downloaded the theme via the link on this page – https://wordpress.com/themes/search/sket/ – then it’s the same theme. However, keep in mind there will probably some differences in the way they work on either platform and the features available for the .com version might not be present in the .org version. For example, I think the portfolio content type is specific to WordPress.com and you’ll probably need to install a plugin to have the same functionality on your self-hosted site.

  For help in installing the theme to your self-hosted site and getting it looking the way you want it you’ll need to post in the WordPress.org forums as we can’t help you with it here: http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t already have a username on that forum, click the register button in the upper right corner so you can post in that forum.

  Thanks for your reply and the clarification. I appreciate it. I think I downloaded from the .com version which I wanted to be use on the .org platform. I will contact the WordPress.org forums.

  If you downloaded it off the page I linked above it is the .org version as the .com version cannot be downloaded. The people at the .org forum and the support pages there should be able to help you with the rest. Good luck :)
