Sketch Theme – Image Size

  Hello
  I have posted two very similar posts, in the first
  http://salamancastreets.com/2016/02/21/la-alberca/
  the images fill the width of the post as I intended
  In the second
  http://salamancastreets.com/2016/03/06/media-maraton/
  the image width does not the fill the width of the post.
  Can anyone tell me why the images in the second post do not fill the width?

  Hi there! Both posts are showing the images as full width when I look. Maybe you got this fixed?

  Or if you’re still seeing it, please send more detail on how (such as browser, operating system, etc) and I’ll take another look. If you’d like, you can also upload screenshots into your Media Library of the problem where you see it and I can take a look there. :)

  Hi Sarah, thank you for such a prompt response. I decided to look a little more closely at the code on the two posts. On the marathon post, I had initially included captions on each photo and the code for each image was as in the following example:

  [caption id="attachment_129" align="aligncenter" width="764"]<img class=”size-full wp-image-129″ src=”https://salamancastreets.files.wordpress.com/2016/03/2016_03_06_10540.jpg” alt=”Warming up” width=”764″ height=”508″ /> Warming up[/caption]

  I deleted the code relating to the captions so that the code for each image was like this

  <img class=”size-full wp-image-129″ src=”https://salamancastreets.files.wordpress.com/2016/03/2016_03_06_10540.jpg” alt=”Warming up” width=”764″ height=”508″ />

  That then presented the images in full as I had wanted.

  Whilst this solved my problem, I’m curious as to why the inclusion of the captions would have this impact?

  Hmm… since the width in the HTML for the caption and image you shared is the same, that’s odd. I’m not sure why it would’ve done that.

  Did you perhaps add the caption, then resize the image (and then the caption width didn’t keep up)? I’ve had that happen sometimes, but then if I go manually change the width or remove the caption and re-add it’ll be fixed.

  If you’ve got the issue still going on somewhere, I can take a closer look to see if I notice a reason if you’d like. :)
