Sketch Theme Menu/Pages Display

Hi Elizabeth,
For both of those themes, it’s been more than 30 days since you purchased them. We have a pretty hard and fast rule about themes particularly. I have asked our theme department about it and am waiting to hear back. As soon as I know I’ll let you know. I just wanted to warn you . . .

Hi again amightwp, Yep, I read and tried to follow the rules. I purchased the ‘Photographer’ theme on 17/07/14 and asked to cancel on 21/07/14 – a few weeks later I noticed it had not been cancelled and then I received an email with a link that did not seem to work. Then I wrote another email to ask again to cancel on 13/08/14. Another link was sent and again I clicked onto it and it did not cancel this or the Port theme.
The Port theme was purchased on 14/06/14 and asked to cancel on the same day (too frustrating) and again asked to cancel on 21/07/14.
I can uplaod a snippit of the failure notice that comes up with the link if you like? Many thanks for your assistance – I have previously raised this issue with WP but I cannot reply to their emails as it is sent as (email visible only to moderators and staff) Cheers Eliza. -
ps. I have a good idea of the website I want to put up with an example site – I just need a bit of assistance. Cheers Eliza

p.s.s. I also purchased Unbud prior to sketch coming out which I will keep as a backup theme Eliza.

Hi amightywp – thanks for your email. I really appreciate your efforts. I purchased Creative but I am finding it difficult so I am back to Sketch. I think this will do me until I brush up on CSS and learn more about website building lol! Thanks so much :)

I think I’m having the same issue as a few people….
I read the posts above, but I still don’t seem to understand how to solve my problem.**I can’t get my menu to be in a straight line**
I created a menu, I rearranged everything, and I saved menu. But it’s not straight like the Sketch sample shows.
Can anyone help? -
Generally I’d ask folks to please create a new thread, but I took a quick look at your sites and it appears that your menus are all in a straight horizontal line for both sites. Is this not what you were looking for?

I don’t know how it shows up for you like that (horizontal) because I checked again on chrome, firefox, and safari and its still in the menu form.

All of a sudden, without me changing this, my menu has changed to an ugly square reading”menu” instead of the text. I’ve only been posting blogposts, and in the meantime, this magically occurred. If the SKETCH designers have done something at the backend can you change it back..it’s horrible!

OK, so reading the original post, everything is still relevant to the question, so i would like an answer.
I am using firefox, not that that should make a difference, as said, this all just mysteriously swapped over with no updates or changes to anything.
To the happyness engineer, we don’t need a new forum post as I understand the original poster and am having the same issue. I can clearly see in my bookmarks how my site used to be.
One thing I would say and this is very important..
I do not care if my menu listings are in a line or not. I know that mine started on 2 lines because I had more than a few pages. Still, it looked 1000% better than what is up now. I think our main issue is the appearance of the box with “menu” as a substitute for seeing all the headings.
I know it was working before so I know it is capable of doing so, please work out the issue. As is, it is well..a dealbreaker and I’ve spent alot of time setting this up already.

I’m also having a hard time getting my menus to read horizontal. I’ve done everything that has been recommended in this thread as well. I see that some people Are capable of doing this, could u break down how to do this and not the link to the wordpress help section cause I’ve followed that.
And is it possible to have my main image change? I’ve figured out how to have it change when u click onto another page but is it possible to have it rotate while you are looking at it on the same page ? -
Hi Alicia, I am using the Sketch theme as well. I took a look at your site (BEAUTIFUL!) and the menu appears horizontal. I noticed that your menu takes up two lines – this is because of the number of headings you have. If you wanted just one horizontal menu line, you could use the dropdown menu system.
Re: Your image. Upload the images you want to display – ideally size them to the sketch theme pixel width and length.
Go to Media – Create Gallery – Tick the photos you want to include in your gallery and insert into your page.I am not sure if you can insert a gallery of photos into the header section – someone else may be able to help you with this.

@elizbethgraphic designer. Thanks for the help I think I figured out , it’s the post slider I was wanting to show at the top of my page , which means I had to remove the custom header image (I was trying to get the custom header image to rotate) I’m going to delete that and see if my featured projects will show. I don’t see my menu horizontal but I guess it’s because I’m viewing it on a small screen size, guess it’s not possible to see it that way always. Oh well . Yes figuring this stuff out is driving me crazy!!

Your empty WordPress.COM site here http://lengthmatters.wordpress.com/ is not wearing the Sketch theme.We provide support only for blogs being hosted WordPress.COM and not for WordPress.ORG software installs. I suspect you are posting to the wrong support forum and looking for support for the wrong version of the theme.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features and run different versions of some themes with the same names http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
