Sketch theme: more than 3 features causes display issue in portfolio slider

    As the title says, if I tag more than 3 posts/projects with my “featured” tag the slider on the portfolio page doubles in size and displays 2 featured images at a time or one image and some white space.

    It kind of looks neat but it looks like a bug. I limit the number of features to 3 as a workaround but I want to feature more content from both posts and projects so this is quite restrictive.

    Hi there. I managed to replicate this on my test blog. I’ll tag this for staff to follow up. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and be patient while waiting.

    If you don’t mind, would you tag one or two posts again so staff can see it as it appears on your blog?

    Hi @kokkieh. I’ve tagged 5 items as featured now to demonstrate this. I’ll leave it up for as long as I can but please note this is a live production site and I’m not sure if anything else is affected.

    (As I understand, WordPress staff is currently on a company holiday right now)

    Actually, I’ve had to revert back to a maximum of 3 features today. Having any more than that actually breaks links on the portfolio page.

    Additionally, the bug is masked on smaller displays. Depending on the screen size it can appear normally as a single header but the slider buttons are missing and portfolio links remain broken.

    Thanks for the extra information. My test blog is still set up this way so staff will be able to see it there.

    These threads are dealt with according to time stamps, so I think it’s best if we don’t post any new information until we hear back from staff – every new reply moves the thread to the back of the queue. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer :)

I was also able to reproduce the issue you mentioned and have reported it to our theme developers so they can take a look at what’s going on.     I’ve verified it on my site, no more display issues and broken links with more than 3 featured items.
