Sketch theme: what happens to portfolio info if changed to non-portfolio theme
-
Hello,
I am using the Sketch theme and the bulk of the information is contained in portfolio projections.
1. If I change to a non-portfolio theme, does the project content become pages, posts, something else, or get removed?
2. I plan on copying this web-site to another domain and then translate it into Japanese, so I would have an English and Japanese version. If I use the export feature to accomplish this, will it export portfolio information along with page and post information? Will anything get left behind?
Thanks!

Hi there!
1. If you switch to a theme without a portfolio, your content will still exist and won’t be deleted from your site (unless you remove it), but your theme won’t have a spot specially formatted to display it. (You can always add /portfolio to the end of your site address to see it, but a non-portfolio theme will likely display them more like blog posts.)
2. If you use the wp-admin dash (https://accessconsciousnessjp.wordpress.com/wp-admin/) and export your content under Tools > Export, you’ll see the option to include “Projects” in your export. This will be what you’ll use to make a copy of your Portfolio Projects that can be imported into another site.
Let me know if you have any questions!
