skittlish wordpress theme ie errors

    I really love the Skittlish wordpress theme but I can’t get it work in IE6 without runtime errors.

    I’ve scoured the Skittlish webspage and although the IE issue has been raised I don’t see a definitive answer. I’ve validated my html and CSS code and there are no errors.

    I know it’s possible for this theme to work IE 6 because it’s happening on this site: http://idratherbewriting.com/themes/ (you need to scroll down and click “skittlish” because it’s a theme switcher). I emailed the author of this website but he doesn’t remember how he got it to work.

    Can anybody help?

    The theme you are pointing to is a theme coded to run on wordpress.org software. We are on different software here. And, the only themes available to us bloggers with blogs hosted by wordpress.com are found here -> Presentation -> Themes
    They are the only ones that have been adapted to run on the wordpress.com wp-MU multiuser blogging platform.

    You can contact staff and request that this theme be adapted if you so choose. In that case you must include the link and your reasons for requesting the theme as well http://wordpress.com/contact-support/

    Frankly I think the last thing we need at wordpress.com is yet another 2 column blue and white theme with a big blue header. But management and staff may feel otherwise. :)

    Also, if you have a problem with a theme you’re running on your own wordpress install, you have a better chance of getting useful replies if you go to the author and/or the the wordpress.org forums.

    Meanwhile, if I were you I would look at the HTML and CSS on idratherbewriting.com to see how the code differs from the default version.
