Ok, I have uploaded the embed code into my Vodpod site, and it uploads ok, and I see the video when it asks if it is THE one, but it wont load to my site….its from Sky News, can anyone tell me why please??

PPS it also says this on my site when I preview it:
Error: No media data loaded
Any help please:( :)

We cannot help without a link to the video on Vodpod and details as to what you’ve done.
Also, PLEASE do not repeatedly bump your own thread and then start a new one. When people have the answers, they give them.
The average response time in a technical support forum is something like thirteen hours.

As I say, I uploaded it, the picture (Video was there when it asked if it was the right one) but then all I get is the above on the link and on my site it says:
http://sharonharvey2.wordpress.com/?p=834&preview=true (Hope you can see this, as i have made published it on this occasion so you can see it)

None of the volunteers can see previews: we need the actual URL of the published blog post. But I went to your blog and saw it at the top.
What exact code did you put in to Vodpod? I need the exact link to the video on your Vodpod account, not just a general one. Like this:

.swf is a flash based video which won’t work here at WP.com for security reasons… Please look at → Flash and Other Embeds

When I view the code generated by VodPod, it’s pointing to:
http://widgets.vodpod.com/w/video_embed/Video.4065730
which does not load.I noticed the problem with Sky News was reported on their forum in April: http://vodpod.com/forums/2/topics/86
I will contact VodPod for clarification.

Good news! VodPod contacted me right away and let me know it’s fixed.
You will need to create a new embed code but it should be working now. -
Sorry, I dont understand what you mean by creating a new embed code….I am using theirs – I dont know how to create another one :(

Sorry for this added post…..It still wont show up on Vodpod, and I didnt understand what you meant by creating a new embedding code….I was rather startled however to go to my site to try something different and found the video now uploaded!
Can anyone enlighten me on two things, maybe 3, ie, how do you create a new embed code – why wont it still show on Vodpod although it founds the video when I put the old code in and 3, how come its now shown on my site??

Hi, sorry for not being clear enough.
I meant that the shortcode you already created before they fixed it won’t work as is. You will need to got to VodPod, enter the Sky Net embed code, and get a new shortcode. -

You probably was very clear enough, just not enough for an amateur like me!
The Videos now appear to work on my site…..but still when I upload them to Vodpod, it still has that strange box with multiple pics in and a ! in the bottom of it, although it does still ask me if ‘is this the right video’ previous and it is :(
Does this mean its workable?
Also the Sky Net embed code – where do I find that please and how do I get a new embed code?? I THINK this may have been answered for me from someone….but incase it hasn’t I look forward to your answer :D

I’m glad the video is working fine on your site. If you are seeing anything odd that’s on VodPod site, you will need to contact them about that.
I think I confused you more… I didn’t mean new Sky Net code. I think you are all set on WordPress.com embed side, so please ignore that part.
