  Running a personal WordPress installation on a friends server – should I ask here or in the “Themes” section?

  Using Powen Lite theme, trying to get my Skype social media link to work on Chrome on Mac OS X and iPad. Other blogs (http://www.phasecreative.com.au/how-to-add-a-skype-call-link-or-button-to-a-wordpress-widget-page-or-post/ for example) seem to work fine on my computer, and launch Skype. However, my own blog tries to load my username as a URL in Chrome and Safari. Only my username (“edgecomberts”) actually places a button for Skype on the blog page.

  Hi there. You should actually ask in the WordPress.org forums, as we can only help with WordPress.com here, not self- or locally hosted setups. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  You can find the WordPress.org support forum here: http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t already have a username on that forum, click the register button in the upper right corner so you can post in that forum.
