Slack or Zapier connection

Is there a way I can set up an integration with Slack (either directly or through Zapier), so all Slack users will be notified when a new message is posted on our P2? I already tried to find it out myself using Zapier, but I wasn’t be able to set up a connection.

Hi there,
We don’t offer any third-party integrations for P2 yet, but it’s on the roadmap, and a Slack integration will be among the first we’ll work on once we start on that.
In the meantime a possible workaround you can try is to use Slack’s email app, which creates Slack posts in a channel whenever a message is sent to a post-by-email address you generate in that app. You can then use that email to create a WordPress.com user account on your P2, and have that user subscribe to all new posts and/or comments on the P2.
It’s not something we’ve tested, so can’t guarantee it will work, but it’s an option you can try if you don’t want to wait until our native integration is ready.
