  I have a slide show on my blog in my posts and I wondered if there is any
  way to keep it at the top of the blog instead of disappearing down the page, as I
  write more posts.

  you could make a static page but that would make your home page not the front page anymore. you have to manually change the timestamp of your slideshow post to keep it up…

  It means that every time you make a new post, you have to post it, then go back to your slideshow and change the posting date/time on it so that it seems newer than the post you just made. It’s a big pain. You change the timestamp on the Edit Post page; on the right-hand side there are a vertical row of blue headings, one of which is Post Timestamp. Click on that and make the change there.
